Notary Public

The California law requires every notary public to file an official bond in the amount of $15,000. Moreover, our state law requires all applicants to be fingerprinted as part of a background check prior to being granted an appointment as a notary public.

The notary public bond is not considered an insurance policy for the notary public. This particular bond is designed only to supply a limited source of funds for paying claims against the notary public.

The notary public remains responsible to the full scope of any damages sustained and may be required to compensate the bonding company for the sums paid due to misconduct or negligence of the notary public. However, the E&O bonds will protect the notary. You must order that separately. Please make your selection and call to place your order.
